Bakers Delicious Fan Espalier Apple tree
Espalier or fan trees are used against a wall; you will need not less than 180 x 180cm’s for a fan or espalier tree. Please note we do not supply ready trained trees; this Bakers Delicious tree is a young specimen suitable for training yourself, in situ. Such trees usually settle to cropping within 2 or 3 seasons
Bakers Delicious has it’s origins in Wales and was introduced first in 1934. Although not a well known variety is retains a loyal following amongst apple enthusiasts. One of the best flavoured earlies.
Bakers Delicious – Season:
Early; harvest Bakers Delicious from late August or early September depending on the season, the fruits can be then be used throughout September.
Bakers Delicious – appearance:
A very decorous apple of medium sized, vividly flushed deep orange-red over gleaming gold.

Powerful, an excellent balance of sweetness and acidity.
Uses:
Primarily used for dessert but may also be cooked with early in the season.
Cropping & Growth
This is a tree of medium vigour and one which can crop very heavily. Generally suited to most areas.
